Crossing a Line (Let's Discuss!)
Did you know that it took 18 minutes for the news of how Michael Jackson died to go from the coroner to the celebrity exploitation show "TMZ". The media knew before the family did. How scary.
Actually it was an illegal act of the privacy laws in America. But there is no investigation, no apology to the family, no "making things right" at all.
Who ever leaked the information of how Michael Jackson died will never be held accountable for this injustice. If any thing, the person will be thanked.... by the public. We just love the dirt on other people don't we? Even if it means crossing lines.
I know that I would never want what happened to the Jackson family to happen to mine. Yes, Michael Jackson was a public figure, yes he made big mistakes, and yes we watched him grow up in front of the camera. But did we need to experience his death too? Are we that desperate that people get paid good money to get us this information? What can you and I do when we see these kinds of lines crossed? Have people crossed that line in your life?
Let's Discuss.
